Home

Our allies question our actions and our motives, and new efforts continue to be made to foster cooperation and interdependence. Opposition continues to arise in every direction, and there are so many problems here at home – migrants and refugees, drugs and disease. It is so easy for us to be worried, but God does not want us to worry. We do have our crosses to bear – the concerns of our own lives – and we have our burdens to bear – concerns in the lives of others that we help them to bear. But God never intended for us to worry.

Instead, our gracious God calls us to be in prayer. Martin Luther puts it this way, “Pray, and let God worry!” As you find yourself and your world being rocked, and you feel that you have lost control of your life, our loving Lord Jesus wants to help us to carry the yoke, to share life with him! And we find that the load is so much easier for us to carry. Hope arises with us, and we are renewed and refreshed in the wilderness, as God calls us to continue to rest in him and to serve others in Jesus’ name.

“Reach Out to Serve Others in Christian Love” – this is our theme here at Peace, our statement of mission and purpose. We are God’s “little church on the hill”, and we invite you to share with us as we meet regularly for worship on Sundays at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. The late hour brings an opportunity for traditional Lutheran liturgy, while the early hour provides for something a little different. Holy Communion is celebrated at each worship hour on the first, third, and fifth Sundays of the month. Other things, then, are added or substituted on the second and fourth Sundays. We encourage all to be concerned for others and to employ safe practices for the health and safety of all.

Pastor Emil Bartos +

We look forward to having you to join with us very soon. We offer full membership in our congregation, as well as Associate Membership, which offers those who live in other places the opportunity to associate with us when they are here in this area. If you are interested, just check with the pastor, or the church office for details.

May our loving Lord continue to bless you always, and in all ways!

Matthew 18
1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
2 He called a little child and had him stand among them.
3 And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
4 Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 “And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.
